Engine Module Modern Engines are built on a Modular basis, i.e. they can be broken down into a number of discrete sections referred to as Modules. Such as Fan or Low Pressure Compressor, High pressure Compressor, Combustor, High Pressure Turbine, Low Pressure Turbine and Exhaust. Each will have its own Part and Serial Number and in the Manufacturing Delivery Documents and the Shop Visit Documentation detail for each Module may be in different sections of the documentation. When reviewing Engine and Module maintenance history and that of the Parts within the Modules especially Life Limited Parts (LLP’s) care should be taken as Modules may have been fitted to different Engine Serial Numbers. |
