| Modification (Mod) A change to the design of the Aircraft, Engine, APU, Landing Gear or its Components, this modification may be accomplished during the build of the Aircraft, Engine, APU, Landing Gear or its Components or when they are in service. Modifications that can be made to the Aircraft, Engine, APU, Landing Gear or its Components when they are in service may be referred to as Service Bulletins. For Modifications and Service Bulletins that can be accomplished in service an Approved Document called a Service Bulletin or Modification will be produced by the Approved Organisation. This will include; The effectivity of the design change, i.e. What Aircraft Type and Manufactures Serial numbers, Engine and APU Type, Part Number and Serial Numbers, Landing Gear and Component, Part Numbers and Serial Numbers that the design change can be applied to. Details of how the design change can be made. The Parts, Components and material required including Service Bulletin or Modification Kits to accomplish the change. |
