| Approved Organisation MRO Companies that maintain, repair, overhaul and carry out other maintenance services to Aircraft, Components, Engines, APU and Landing Gear must be approved by their Regulatory Authority. MRO Companies may also seek and gain approval from Authorities other than that of their Country, for example the FAA and EASA. These approvals will include the scope of that approval, for example for Aircraft: Line Maintenance, Check Maintenance and Aircraft Type. Companies that Design and Manufacture Aircraft, Parts, Components, Engines, APU’s and Landing Gear also require to be approved to Design or Manufacturing. These Approved Organisations will have an approval reference that will be found on the approved documentation they issue, such as: Authorised Release Certificate Aircraft Technical Log Certificate of Release to Service |
